Las Cruces firefighters responded to a structure fire on Greening Avenue Wednesday evening.
About 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2025, Las Cruces firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire on the 100 block of Greening Avenue. Crews observed heavy smoke coming from a detached garage behind the house. The fire was brought under control within minutes of arrival and the fire was stopped from extending into the home.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire and damage estimates have yet to be determined.
