A structure fire damaged a home on the 3100 block of Rio Arriza Loop Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Las Cruces Fire Department, firefighters were called to the fire before 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
Upon arrival crews found an exterior fire and deployed a hose for fire attack. Further inspection of the property let to the discovery of fire in an interior wall and attic space above the exterior fire and a second alarm was declared. Additional firefighters responded and an interior attack was initiated. The fire was brought under control and spread was limited.
No injuries were reported. Damage estimates are under review and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
