(LAS CRUCES, NM) — Mesilla Valley Hospice & Palliative Care invites the community to one of southern New Mexico’s most anticipated fundraising events as Men Who Cook returns on Saturday, August 15, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Las Cruces Convention Center.
Men Who Cook brings together local leaders, business professionals, restaurant owners, and talented home chefs for an evening of food, entertainment, and philanthropy—all in support of Mesilla Valley Hospice, the region’s only locally based nonprofit hospice provider.
This year’s event centers around a superhero theme, both fictional and in real life, recognizing the individuals who make our community stronger through service, compassion, leadership, and generosity. From first responders and healthcare professionals to educators, veterans, volunteers, and everyday citizens, the evening will celebrate the many forms of heroism found throughout southern New Mexico.
Guests will enjoy an array of signature dishes prepared by participating chefs while voting for their favorites, all while helping raise critical funds that allow Mesilla Valley Hospice to continue providing compassionate end-of-life care, grief support, and palliative care services to patients and families throughout the region.
“Men Who Cook is more than a food event—it’s a celebration of the people who give so much of themselves to our community,” said Staci Mays, event organizer for Mesilla Valley Hospice & Palliative Care. “Every ticket purchased and every dollar raised helps ensure that our neighbors facing serious illness receive compassionate, dignified care regardless of their ability to pay.”
Proceeds from the evening directly benefit Mesilla Valley Hospice’s nonprofit mission, helping provide expert hospice and palliative care, family support services, bereavement counseling, and other programs that improve quality of life for patients and their loved ones.
